- Carpet Cleaning Product: Always have a trusted carpet cleaning product on hand, such as a spray that can be applied to spills. Test on a small area of the carpet that is out of view first. Apply a small amount of the cleaning solution to the stain and blot again.
- Drying the Spot: If there is excess liquid, place layers of paper towels on the spot and weigh down with heavy books on top. Check frequently and replace the paper towels if they are soaked through.
