Unless you are in the retail industry, it is likely that the holiday season is a time of year when sales slow down. Many small business owners take a break during the last few weeks of the year, with the intention to step up their business efforts again in the New Year.

Instead of assuming that you need to have a slow December, look for ways that you can boost business by connecting with your clients during this holiday season. Here are a few ideas that you can use to build stronger relationships with your clients, and potentially help your business reach higher levels of success:

Christmas Cards and GiftsUse the Holiday Season to Grow a Small Business

It might seem like a small gesture, but a card or a small gift can go a long way to creating a positive association for your business. When customers receive the gift, they will remember the products and services that were purchased from your company. As a result, it will improve the likelihood that they will come back again when they are ready to make another purchase in the future.

The cards and gifts don’t have to be elaborate. Instead, look for a simple way to let each person know that you are thinking about them. Consider ordering custom Christmas cards that are branded with your business information. A small gift might be something as simple as some chocolate or an ornament for the tree.

Holiday Sales

Do you have any discounts or sales that you can offer during the holiday season? Even though Black Friday is already over, you can offer a discount to encourage people to buy for Christmas gifts. Everybody loves a good deal; your discount offer may be just the thing to encourage a potential customer to buy your product or service.

Holiday sales don’t only have to be about retail shopping. Even if you offer a digital product or service, you can offer a holiday package so that people can purchase the gift for themselves or another person.

New Year’s Resolutions

Many people set goals at the beginning of each year. If your product or service can help them meet these goals, then look for a way that you can connect with the client. Show them how you will help with their goals for the year, and it will increase the likelihood that they will make a purchase.
